Complete Film Making Skills From Script to Screen
The Film Making Course at Pikazzo Chandigarh builds your skills in three parallel disciplines: the creative, the technical, and the business of filmmaking because a working filmmaker needs all three.
Storytelling & Scriptwriting The greatest camera means nothing without a great story. You’ll learn the craft of screenwriting, story structure, character development, dialogue, scene construction, and format. You’ll write short film scripts, ad film scripts, music video treatments, and documentary outlines and you’ll workshop them with mentors who work in the industry.
Direction & Production You’ll learn how a director thinks and works from breaking down a script into a shot list, to blocking scenes with actors, to communicating your vision to a DP, to managing a crew on set. You’ll direct your own projects and also assist in production roles on real Pikazzo film productions.
Cinematography & Camera Operation Hands-on training on the RED Dragon and supporting camera systems. You’ll master camera angles, movement, lens choice, depth of field, and how to translate a director’s vision into a visual language. You’ll understand lighting design for interior and exterior shoots, and how to build the cinematic look you’re after.
Lighting for Film Lighting is the single most important technical skill that separates amateur footage from cinematic footage. You’ll learn professional lighting setups 3-point lighting, motivated lighting, practical lighting, day-for-night, and how to use hard and soft light to shape mood and atmosphere.
Sound Design & Production Audio Bad audio kills good films. You’ll learn production sound recording, microphone placement, boom operation, and how to capture clean dialogue on set. In post-production, you’ll work with sound design, Foley, music integration, and final audio mixing.
Film Editing Editing is where a film is truly made. You’ll master professional editing on Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve cutting for pace, emotion, and story logic. You’ll learn match cuts, J-cuts and L-cuts, intercutting, and how to build a scene that holds an audience.
Colour Grading Colour is the emotional language of cinema. You’ll learn professional colour grading in DaVinci Resolve, how to correct exposure and white balance, how to build a cinematic LUT, how to create a consistent visual tone across a film, and how to deliver colour-graded footage for cinema, OTT, and digital platforms.
VFX & Post-Production Introduction to visual effects in Adobe After Effects compositing, green screen keying, motion tracking, title design, and basic VFX for narrative films and music videos.
